This was a well-written article. We want and need more of this level of writing on Boxing Scene. I have loved this sport since Larry Holmes vs. Gerry Cooney. That is the fight that hooked me and made me a lifelong boxing fan. I am still waiting for the sport to vanquish fraud and corruption, we can start by imposing "real-time" instant replay and banning judges that are clearly dishonorable.

Perhaps we are the same age. Holmes - Cooney got me hooked too, I was about 6 years old. The build up was great and I'll never forget the commercial that shocked me as a kid:
HOLMES: "I like Gerry Cooney. He comes from a good family, and he's a good guy...but I'm STILL gonna knock him out"
COONEY: "Larry Holmes? I got nothing good today about Larry Holmes"
I finally found it on YT about 10nyrs ago but I think the OP took it down. Also ironic that Cooney came from a horrible family, LOL.

My dad went next door to watch the fight bc we didn't have HBO, and I wasn't invited bc it was an adults only kinda get together. Imwas devastated. But I remember watching a replay later on somehow, and that lady standing up in crazy awe when Cooney landed one of those famous low blows and Holmes is looking in his pants to see if his sausage is still in tact. Might have even been Christie Brinkley for all I know. And Victor Valley yelling, "Joo gotta move in and ruff dis guy!!"

I'm a big fan of Bradley's warrior boxing mentality. The dude had an indomitable fighting spirit! Great fighter!

Remember that Is only an opinion and not a fact that he sucks as a commentator. Others may feel otherwise. However, there’s one thing that I do know.

He is one of the most controversial commentators we’ve had in a long time because the man is both honest and fearless behind that microphone. He speaks his mind.

I was speaking strictly as a fighter
As a commentator it’s easy to see he is bias but his insight is at times useful and strictly from a boxing stance not his opinions which tend to always lead towards tge Top Rank fighter

It's not just the bias, and his over the top rightousness. Even as a pure boxing analyst, he's just not that great. Not even at the level of Mora. Ward can't stand him, and for a good reason. He's all over the place, repeating the same sentences (concussions or Teddy Atlas syndrome or both?), calling the fight after 30 sec. of the first round, then having to backtrack cause he got it wrong, basic English mistakes ( I know.. he's a fighter, not a literature major, but English isn't even my first language and I notice them..)

Yes your right , mistakes are plenty and sometimes not very accurate with his assumptions
I’d rather him over the clowns at Dazn minus the Latin snake
It’s inevitable that he’s received one to many shots to the head , I wouldn’t even debate it but I give him credit as most times , even if inaccurate , he brings a different side to the commentary imo
He doesn’t annoy me most of the time and I can put up with him
Now Mannix and the other clown , those are the ones who get under my skin

He is neither strong, big or could punch. However, the guy has huge balls. He has that fighter’s instinct. He wants to hit. He wants to fuck somebody up

Tim' s biggest asset was his conditioning. He didn't do anything great, but he did everything a lot.
