Xayas has been on TV alot. I've been watching him improve. I think he'll give any JM a hell of a fight including the Inferno.

Don't get me wrong I'm not against the guy I really do like the way he fights. That doesn't mean I wont point out his flaws when i see them. Flaws that a fighter of his hype as the next "PR" star shouldn't have if he wants to stay in contention.
Right now if he got in the ring with a fighter like Fundora he would get tagged with rights and take unnecessary damage he could still win don't get me wrong but at what cost.
Zayas is also a fighter that cant afford to take damage because his power is suspect at best.Last edited by cruz1383; 02-15-2025, 09:36 PM.LAchargers373 likes this.

At the age of 22 he shouldn't be getting hit cleanly with right crosses/hooks that are not setup and he shouldn't have a delay of pulling his left hand back to protect himself. Its not like Zayas didn't have amateur experience either and now has 21 pro fights under his belt.

Anyway I don’t believe Zayas to be the star everyone is making him out to be , at least not yet if anything
Fundora , who isn’t great himself , will give Zayas problems throughout the fight
One of Zayas’s biggest problems is his punch output and the fact that he doesn’t throw when his opponent is throwing leather at him
Fundora going to pepper him all fight and keep it at close quarters which will smother Zayas’s work
People will try to make Zayas the next coming of Tito and that couldn’t be further from the truthBustedKnuckles likes this.

If you take the higher level fighters for instance some will throw weaker punches in between harder punch sequences and the more elite will vary their power from punch to punch without much thought (Crawford is a great example).
I'm sure he can learn a lot of that but my thinking is that he is limited on time even at 22 to learn those elite level skills which are not easy skills to learn. Plus who knows if his trainer can even train that to him ?? If his trainer can he should have at least got him to the next level of varying power in between power punch sequences.

I love how fans expect every fighter to be perfect and heaven forbid a guy ever gets hit..... Boxing fans are the worst.LAchargers373 likes this.
