Agree with 90% of that. I actually think Teofimo can be very competitive v Boots because if you look at their styles I'm not convinced Boots wants to be around a sleek counter-puncher with a solid defence.
I would classify both Teo and Ennis as boxer-punchers. The difference is that Ennis appears more willing to lead the dance and come forward, whereas Teo is clearly more of a counter-puncher. Ennis will be willing to play the cat-and-mouse game with Teofimo, and I think Teo will have a difficult time successfully luring him into traps. Try to imagine the bout at different distances: is there any point where Teofimo has a clear advantage? Although I think it'll be competitive, I struggle to see where Teo will have sustained success in order to win a decision. I say "decision" because I'm pretty sure Teo isn't getting a KO.

As for the OP, Haney should move up to WW and fight Rolly. As bad as Haney appeared vs. Ramirez, I think he's capable of boxing Rolly's ears off. I think Haney would force Rolly to revert back to his more physical mauling style because he'll struggle to land his jab with any consistency. Rolly's only chance is to use his strength and make Haney uncomfortable.

Teo has nothing to challenge Ennis. Nothing I can see. Rolly might be a great fight for Haney. But if he is too tentative he might well relive a nightmare. Rolly has nothing to lose, he is already massively over achieved. If he chases Haney into a corner and connects well... God help Bill and family. Attitude can be huge and from a purely psychological perspective Rolly is positioned very well. Haney was also tentative last fight... Not a good combination.

Another strategy would be to try to fight Ryan if Haney feels the drugs were a major contributor to his success. A lot of the conflict between the young up and commers is psychological in nature at this point. Davis lost the popular vote against Roach and really wants to keep his goose egg, Teo seems back on the reservation but... It is Teo... Haney has to wade back in and overcome, now Ryan lost a fight and is in the dog house...

If Pitbull can keep it together and reintroduce head movements back into his fighting, learn a few more tricks, he may become a champ. He was outboxed but could learn from it. And Rolly? Well, never seen a welter that slow but his head is on right.

Oh and Shakur. I do not think the kid wants to fight.

No, brutally, what it tells you is there was one king at LW, Tank Davis, & there were a lot of, lets be kind, schmucks, who got kinda grouped behind Tank as though they were his natural rivals. No they weren't. None of them was any kind of threat to Tank at all. I would hold out a hope that 'Pit Bull' could do something, but all the others, Garcia, Romero, Haney, take em away & throw them away.
lol how? The guys tank fighting have immediately gotten they ass whooped directly after tank most of the time in much easier fashion and the one guy who actually won a fight got caught cheating? Rollie and Ryan ain’t elite fighters and Ryan had to cheat with weight and drugs to get a114-111 win vs devin?

I’m genuinely concerned & saddened by that. Billeau2 doesn’t think Teofimo has anything to challenge Ennis. I should say I have enormous respect for Billeau2 who, imo, knows more about boxing than almost anyone else on here. It concerns me because I honestly think that a peak Teofimo, in shape, mentally & physically & no f**** around, can be very competitive v Ennis. I’m genuinely concerned & saddened that Billeau2 thinks I’ma schmuck & IDKSAB.

Klaba360. You make a very good point. Teofimo might knock Jaron down with a glancing blow. He wouldn’t KTFO Ennis ever, that is never happening. So, like you say, he has to decision Ennis, although not necessarily fairly.

Ennis just seems naturally a bigger fighter. So I wonder how Teo can keep him honest. Teo is very talented. If he makes a mistake though? Ennis can catch him hard.

Do you know who weighed more for the fight between Ryan and Haney? Look iitup. Would Ryan did was against the rules, but that does not mean Haney and his rehydration methods are not a form of cheating.

He starved & boiled hisself to make weight. Ryan didn’t care. he just turned up overweight,

I think that I just don’t want to be writing this. It would be far better to write about jabs over right hands, or jabs setting up hooks into the body, but we’ve ended up talking about how guys boil themselves down to a ridiculous weight. IDK why
