If it was 6 or 7 yrs ago, I would’ve favored Lomachenko against anyone near his weight, including Tank.

When Floyd was involved in Tank Davis career, there’s a reason why he didn’t want Tank to get in with Loma.

But now with age, I’m not so sure Loma could get past Tank.

Loma was indeed special and even when he’s lost, he’s never been beaten down or looked really outclassed. A testament to his high skill level.

I don't think that he will fight again. 37 is pretty old for a little guy , plus he's got back problems. There's really nothing left for him to do in boxing , a Tank or Shakur fight would have been really interesting a few years ago but now would be anti climatic . Being undersized is bad enough , being diminished by age and injury on top of it sure don't help Lomachenkos chances. He truly was a special fighter and a joy to watch do his thing. He should have turned pro earlier and had a lot more fights as a professional in my opinion but that's water under the bridge. Like all of these other guys who are "slow starters" , it cost him fights that he could have won.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. Nothing left to prove at this point. Given that we haven't heard anything from him for a long time I think he has been "de facto retired" for a while now.

The only knock I have against him is the fact he got into the pro ranks to late but made the most out of it in

I get he is the "great" Lomanchenko. But who else becomes a hall of famer with a record of 18-3 and a KO pecentage of 66%? Lomanchenkos glory and reputation comes from his incredibly stellar amateur record....but in terms of his professional career....it’s fair to middling to be honest.

Resume..not record or ko % . What other Hall of Famer won a title in his 3rd pro fight ? Or won championships in 3 weight classes in less fights? Made two undefeated champions - one p4p and other highly regarded where fight was considered 50/50 by most - quit on their stools?

Yes. Lomo v Tank is exactly the type of fight Turki should cough up the wonga for. And get it on the Canelo v Crawford card

He won a vacant title and defended it 3 times against guys noone could recall without wiki.

I think he definitely gets in. His pro career was better than most. I dont think he cracks my top ten greatest lightweights though, maybe not even top 20.
