Yevgeniy Pavlov, an unbeaten junior featherweight prospect from Kazakhstan, has signed an exclusive promotional contract with CES Boxing, according to a press release from the New England-based promoter.
Pavlov, 10-8 (8 KOs), is expected to make his CES Boxing debut on a July 19 card taking place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
“Kazakhstan has produced some of the sport's most disciplined and exciting talents, including champions like Gennadiy Golovkin, Janibek Alimkhanuly and Sergey Lipinets,” said Jimmy Burchfield Snr, the president of CES Boxing. “Yevgeniy comes from that same proud boxing tradition. He’s young, hungry and undefeated, and we believe he has all the tools to become a world champion. The world will know his name very soon.”
Pavlov, 25, began boxing at seven years old and fought all over Europe as a top amateur in both boxing and kickboxing. He made his pro debut in Belarus in 2020 and his U.S. debut in 2022. His last three fights have taken place in Mexico. Pavlov’s most recent appearance was more than two years ago, when he stopped the 3-13 Kevin Rodriguez Garcia in 81 seconds in Guadalajara.
Pavlov is now permanently based in the United States, settled in Philadelphia under the tutelage of Wade Hinnant at the 365 Fitness Loft & Boxing Club.
“I’m excited to sign an exclusive promotional contract with CES Boxing,” Pavlov said through a translator, according to the press release. “Their access to great venues and commitment to keeping fighters active really stood out to me. Seeing their work with my fellow Kazakh, [lightweight prospect] Nikolay Shvab, gave me the confidence that this is the right promoter to take my career to the next level.”
