The IBF super-middleweight champion Savannah Marshall is to fight Shadasia Green, the WBO titlist, on the undercard of Katie Taylor-Amanda Serrano III on July 11.

The 34-year-old Marshall recently followed the growing trend of the world’s leading female fighters signing with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), and following the disappointment of missing out on a fight on the undercard of Natasha Jonas-Lauren Price, at New York’s Madison Square Garden she will attempt to establish herself as the world’s finest at 168lbs.

Chantelle Cameron – like Marshall of England – also recently signed promotional terms with MVP, and the former undisputed junior-welterweight champion will fight Canada’s Jessica Camara, who in January drew with Cameron’s compatriot Caroline Dubois.

There will also be a fight between Ramla Ali, of England via Somalia, and the Brazilian Lila Furtado, 33 years old.

“Defending my IBF and Ring Magazine belt in a unification fight with Shadasia Green, on an all-women’s card such as this, is a great way to start my new journey with MVP,” said Marshall. “There are so many great women on one show at the iconic Madison Square Garden, and I’m beaming that I can play my part in it. Cannot wait for Friday, July 11th.”

“I am really excited about fighting Savannah Marshall, who has accomplished a lot in the sport,” said the 35-year-old Green. “We are two hard-punching world champions who will put everything on the line. I’m looking forward to putting on a great show, and I’m certain that Marshall will bring the best out of me on Friday, July 11.”

Cameron, 34, has twice fought Ireland’s Taylor – when inflicting the only defeat of her career and then losing their rematch – and she said: “To box at Madison Square Garden in New York is a dream come true for me, and the fact that I’m facing a good opponent will bring out the best in me. July 11 is a huge night of female boxing from MVP and I’m honoured to be part of it.”

“Sharing the ring with a champion like Chantelle Cameron is an honor,” said Camara. “I’m locked in, focused, and ready to leave it all in the ring.”

It will have been little over a year since the 35-year-old Ali lost via decision to Yamileth Mercado of Mexico, and she said: “After taking time to refine my skills and recalibrate my approach, I feel stronger and more focused than ever. This past year away from competition has been challenging but necessary – it’s reignited the fire that first drew me to boxing. Working with John Ryder and Tony Sims has completely transformed my approach to the sport, and their combined expertise has helped me develop as a fighter.”

Furtado defeated her compatriot Gisele Libanio in December, and she said: “I’m training very hard for this fight with Ramla, as I know this fight can give me the keys to more opportunities with MVP. I’m training with world-level fighters in Brazil, preparing very hard. I’m excited to have the opportunity, and I will give everything to get this victory for myself, but also for my country.”
