The Ukrainian heavyweight Victor Faust is to fight Christopher Lovejoy on Saturday at ETV in Kiel, Germany.
Faust, 14-1 (8KOs) and 33 years old, beat Lovejoy’s fellow American, the veteran Rydell Booker, in April and is seeking his fourth successive victory since injury contributed to him losing to Lenier Pero in San Antonio, Texas, in February 2023.
The 41-year-old Lovejoy, 20-1-1 (20KOs), recorded defeat by Manuel Charr when challenging for the WBA “regular” heavyweight title in 2021.
He has fought twice since, most recently drawing with the 4-10-1 (1KO) Egyptian Ayman Farouk Abbas in March 2023.
The cruiserweight contest between the Germany-based Zelimhan Uzuev and Mahdi Safdari represents Saturday’s main event.
