Ranking Rid**** Bowe above Lennox Lewis, can it be justified ?

On an ATG heavyweight list ?

Let's see what Sonnyboy has to say.

Form for form, prime for prime I actually think Bowe does have the edge.

I'd also pick prime Bowe to beat prime Lewis.

Does Bowe belong higher on an ATG list? No way! His prime was too short.

Lewis mixed in world class for over a decade, Bowe only five years at a push.

Whilst both defeated every man they fought, Lewis did it for longer and with greater consistency in his conditioning. Plus the Olympic win for Lewis gives some sort of justification to Lewis fans.

If i was to go by Kid McCoy's theory... Bowe would destroy every single opponent that Lewis ever faced and that includes Rahman & McCall but Lewis would not beat the 92-95 version of Holyfield so Bowe ranks the higher.. but that is not the way that i set out my theory of who should rank highest... Lennox Lewis achieved more during his career than what Rid**** Bowe achieved so i would say it is not justified to rank Bowe higher.

Yeah. Wouldas and couldas doesn't count. It's about who you fought when everything is said and done. So Lewis most rank higher all-time than Bowe.

Does nothing of the sort, it's one of the oddest reffing jobs I've ever seen, no way Bowe should of been given so many warnings and it shouldn't of been stopped.

I'm actually in full agreement with you. It was a very badly handled contest.

Lewis fans might well cite the Olympic victory as some indicator of superiority, but it certainly does not convince me that the match would be similar in the professional ranks at all.
