BHop v Pascal knockdowns

I thought all the referee's calls were solid. The KD in the 1st was about as weak as they get (think PDub's KD of Martinez), but was legit imo to the side of the head. The KD in round 3 was from a left hook to the face, which oddly enough resulted in a flash balance KD rather than the damage KD it looked like it should have been. There were two which were waved off, one from a sort of sweeping shot that caught Hopkins behind the head and pulled him down (close to an arm drag), and the one you mentioned where Pascal went down. While Pascal was hurt in the exchange, he clearly went down due to a tangle of legs.

1st KD was not legit at all. Shot to the back of the head.
Second was okay. Looked like Bernard was off balance more then anything to me.

The first shot/KD was perfectly legal. I don't know why people keep saying it wasn't or why there has even been any argument....I suppose cause it mad the difference in the fight being a draw instead of win for BHop. Anyway, Pascal threw a looping right and Hopkins, trying to duck with his head down, got caught behind the ear on the side of the head and went down briefly. That is completely legal and there was nothing slightly wrong with it.
Second was obviously fine, and the others were not KDs. The third time BHop went down was from a shot behind the head. That was illegal, the first not.
The Pascal fall was just that. A tangle of legs. I thought the ref was actually very good and all the calls were perfect.
I wanna see a rematch either way. I was kind of hoping they'd do a rematch before the Dawson/Pascal one. I think we could either see Hopkins make his historic win easier or see Pascal go a bit better and continue on from the first few rounds. Interesting rematch. If Dawson wins the fight though, I doubt Hopkins will fight him. Unlike the guy making the thread about Hopkins fighting everyone and anyone as a throwback fighter, I think he chooses his victims very carefully since his 160 days. I would too to make the most of the few opportunities left at such an age.

All the calls were right. The first Pascal knockdown was only behind the ear because Hopkins always ducks his head where you can only hit him in the side of the head, so there's nothing wrong with it. The second knockdown there is no argument.
The time Pascal went down Hopkins didn't land a punch. He headbutt/pushed Pascal down.

I thought the first KD was BS, and upon watching the highlight of it, it was as clear a shot to the back of the head as it gets. The second KD was legit, but I think it had to do more with Hopkins footing, but he was against the ropes and got hit with a left hook and dropped forward but was perfectly fine and was in no way hurt, and then went on to dominate from there on out.

The first knock-down was ridiculous. It was a massive Pile-Driver to the back go Hopkins head.
There are a handful of people saying it was behind the ear, well IMO, it's the same thing.
Referee should not give that a Knock-down, and discourage anyone from targeting that area..

You guys are all missing the point. If you have your head toward the ground, turned away from your opponent and you get hit in the side of the head (it wasn't on the back of the head) behind the ear, it's a legitimate knock down. It was close to being an illegal rabbit punch, but if Hopkins' head wasn't turned down it wouldn't have hit him behind the head and would have cracked him straight on the jaw.
Hopkins habit of dropping his head to duck punches and keep his chin tucked is great defensively but it can lead to you getting caught in the side behind the ear and they are legal.
Just like Johnson/Green, if you turn your head away/down and get caught that's your own fault.
