    Weights while running?

I have tried putting books and weights and such in a backpack and going for a run but I think it will tear if I do it often. Anyone know of any backpacks that could take the weight and not tear or any other alternatives?

    weighted vest is money.

x-vest is the best IMO, a little pricey, but well worth it i think as it distributes the weight perfectly and fits snug.

titleboxing.com and performbetter.com have some weighted vests as well, and i think grantboxing.com has one too. check em out they help alot in sprints, plyometrics and things like that.

running with weights ****S your joints up.. boxing requires EXPLOSIVE strength therefore the ultimate burpee routine is best.

Depends on what kind of running. 5 miles? Yeah, too long, but intervals with weights are no problem. Boxers should be doing intervals anyway, instead of useless steady state aerobic work.
