Simple and plain: 1 cup of cooked brown rice, 1 skinless, boneless chicken breast with no salt seasoning such as garlic and onion powder, and a salad made with spinach leaves and broccoli w/ oil and vinegar dressing.

      1 cup of brown rice: 216 calories......5g protein, 44.8g carbs, 1.8g fat (0g sat fat), 0g cholesterol

Chicken breast (skinless): 160 calories, 9g fat (3g sat fat), 80 mg cholesterol, 21g protein, 0g carbs

salad: negligible fat and carbs from greens but dressing has some poly unsat and sat fat based on oil used in dressing (olive oil based is best)

      overall: 26-30g protein, 44.8-50g carbs, 10.8-12g fat, 80-81mg cholesterol, 376-380 calories

Here is a recipe for a low carb, high pro, mod fat meal. It's called Turkey Pie. Kind of like a mexican quesedilla. Tukrey Pie might not sound too tasty but this is worth a try - it tastes very good IMO. It is also good for those who take their lunch to work/school. You can cut a slice of the pie and take it with you and then just microwave it when you are ready to eat.

        You will need:
1 package low fat ground turkey (I like 93%)
        1 egg
        1 pack taco seasoning
        non-fat sour cream
        favorite salsa/picante sauce
shredded cheese (you can use low fat but it does not melt as well)
        low carb tortillas
        pie shaped baking dish

brown the turkey in a pan and add the taco seasoning. Add the egg and mix well. Set aside.

spray the pie baking dish with non-fat cook spray.

place a tortilla in the pie dish.

layer the ground turkey, sour cream and salsa and cover with another tortilla and cheese.

Bake for 30-45 at 350 remove from oven and let it cool down before eating.

NOTE: you can add black beans, onions, etc to the turkey mixture but this will increase carbs.

Also for your other meals try and stay away from potatoes, rice, and other starchy carbs and stick to the green carbs - spinach, broccoli, green beans.

        Good Luck

If you are working out, you gotta eat carbs! Just hard work and common sense will get rid of that beer belly for you.
