Well, since you asked, what really has worked for me is spending at least 20 minutes out of the day relaxing in a chair, doing nothing, focusing on my breath. This skill helps my concentration, and I use that concentration to zonk out for a minute or two, sometimes rolling my arms in circles to get blood flowing, walking around back and forth a little, just spend a little energy, until I am able to calm down and handle the situation with a level head. Anger, fear, all that fun stuff, just chemical reactions from the brain, you got to get rid of that first before you can think correctly. Sometimes if I am having a tough day at work, I take my 15 min break, crank up the headphones, take a walk outside, briskly walking, warming up my arms, just to get the energy circulating, and really focusing on the music, zoning out you know?
It resets my mind, and helps me focus on a solution, rather than dwelling on the problem, ya get me?
Anyway, thats just me. Oh, and tea helps, I really like earl gray and english breakfast.

Some things can help a little, magnesium, vitamin B complex. There is alot to support a generally good diet with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables too.
Doctors can prescribe beta blockers, diazepan (vallium) to calm you down. But diazepan can become very addictive and difficult to wean off. I personally haven't seen anyone benefit from antidepressants much, I'd look at those as a last option but I'm no doctor.
There is alot to be said for the odd paracetamol too, they can help with muscle tightness around the head and neck that is often associated with anxiety.
Breathing exercises can work for some, as can massage/physiotherapy.
The most important thing is to get your own state of mind right, give yourself things to look forward to and dont get caught up with alcohol or illegal drugs.
Best of luck.....

there's so many different meds out there available for you BUT they all have different effects (potency, duration etc just to keep it simple, its actually much more complicated than that)
im studying anti depressants, anti anxiety and anti psychotic drugs in my pharmaceutical chemistry class right now...
find a GOOD Dr and talk to him/her about your options
good luck mate

depression is a clinical condition. Only a Dr. is able to give you the correct diagnostic. And, if you go to a dr, he'll have advices better than any we can offer you in a boxing forum.
To pick a medication like that because "you know ou someone told you" you have depression is one of the most irresponsible things you can do.
Go to a dr.

Kava Kava root for relaxation, helps me deal with stress in a more calm manner.
St Johns wart for a slight feeling of apathy, give me a "Meh, no worries" feeling which I enjoy.
Valerian root for a good nights sleep, because your mind wont function at its peak without good sleep
And a B vitamin supplement, because all the B vitamins are used for vital brain functions as well as digestion.
Lastly, remember, these are NOT quick fix options like medication is. These take time, they are a supplement, and are not intended to cure, diagnose, prevent, or treat any disease. This and a healthy diet does wonders in about a month of consistancy.
