    Need help to stop smoking to get in fight shape!!!!

    I'm only 17 but you know how that **** goes down in high school, you start picking up those bad habits. I'm pretty chubby and I really wanna start going to a gym to get in shape and maybe even give it a try.

    My problem though is that I'd love to work out, but I'm too busy smoking freakin weed which kills my motivation and makes me munch haha So I'm not getting any skinnier or healthier. I love doing it and it's fun, but I wanna get in shape and fighter so bad. I smoke a lot of cigars too. Somebody help!!! Any advice would be appreciated, I'd give anything a try to get on the right track!!! Just a lot of stress in my life right now because of probation, drama from girlfriend, and family issues so smokings kind of been a fun outlet to get away from it all which is dumb being on probation. So any helpful advice and feedback will be green K'd and greatly appreciated!!! thanks!!!

        Shouldnt have started in the first place? Idk, I dont smoke, weed is easier to quit than cigs. Don't bother trying to train for boxing if you're gonna smoke, especially weed. People don't ever wanna put in work, rather sit around and do nothing.

          Honestly, quitting weed is a cake walk. Your body does not crave nor need it, it is all in your mind that you just wanna be high. If that is how it is, then you need time to mature until you are over it. Until you do not wanna be high anymore, nor smoke anything for that matter, stay out of a gym and don't waste you or coaches time.

          You need to think and decide what is more important to you. Being a stoner and hanging out with other stoners and leading to other drugs. Or getting in shape and getting the females attention(Weed is a social thing, so I am assuming getting in shape and getting the attention of females should be good motovation, nevermind just being overall healthier)

            well stop smokin weed for a week and youll get over it.i used to smoke ALOT im talkin about stayin high on that kush allll day.but you dont miss it after a week,,,,and as far as cigars...you aint even supposed to inhale those...so if you smoke them they wont affect anything bro.

              If youre dumb enough to be blazin and youre on probation then idk how youre going to stop. But just do it man... Youre on probation and ****in around with weed, you fail a drug test the judge is gonna look and see you havent learned any lesson and throw your ass in the slammer kid. That should be motivation enough to stop blazin, but you must not like freedom I guess... And dont smoke cigars, and as far as cigarettes, i smoke them, alot of people do, just dont smoke alot of them, or else you will be ****ed when it comes to training.. Nothin like a blunt after a long day of training, i smoke weed, its not that bad if you dont do it so much, BUT..... You shouldnt be doing it because of probation, bottom line... Hitting the bag will help relieve your stress enough, take out your emotions in the gym kid

                Truth is painful to accept but it needs to be told.

                As for quitting and how, its up to you. No one is going to give you a specific technique aside from laying off the weed/cigs.

                  good luck man, giving up smoking is harder than people realise, especially if they havent smoked themselves

                  I find one thing to help you is to keep yourself as busy as possible, make lots of plans, preferably that doesnt involve pubs or socialising with people who smoke

                  I gave up in November and havent looked back, best thing I ever did

                    well i smoke myself and train...thing is u gotta get ur **** done first b4 u smoke...spec if ur like me and the weed does make u lazy and not wanna train...i actually started training tho while i was stoned used to get high b4 hitten bag etc..but that was jus at my house..i dont show up to my coach high EVER...its more a personal thing it affects some worse than others far as the harm..those whom havnt smoked weed really shouldt post in here but hey their opinions are half fair..its not addicting no..but those of us whom smoke know it makes all things seem a lil better..u need to try and have ur friends deny u the hit..tell em not to pass it to u no matter how much u say i'm good to smoke today...i'm not gon sit here and tell u not to smoke at all but u should cut it down lil if u get in2 fighting stages of boxing if u jus training make sure u get ur training done..then go home smoke u one and recoup...trust me many pro's in ALL sports do the same..those who come in here and say diff dont smoke and dont have many pro friends lol
