    Recommended Winning Gloves?

I'm looking to buy some Winnings because I hear only great things about them. I tend to have brittle hands/wrists and it keeps me out of the gym moments at a time, and I'm getting quite sick of it. So, I figure I might as well cash out on the best quality gloves. Now, I have never had any experience with these gloves, so can someone fill me in on the pros and cons of each glove(other than the price)? I'm looking to get a glove that I can use for all around purposes, bag work, mitt work, sparring (light depending on the oz). From what I hear, these gloves don't fall apart easily, so I shouldn't have a problem using them for different things. Anyone have experience?

    Yes, I recommend them.

No one should not recommend them for anything except money. If you got the cash, then totally buy them. It's more than worth it, specially if you plan on taking boxing somewhere.

Which Winnings should I get though? Any recommendations for an all-around purpose, like what size and stuff. I see on the Winning USA website that they only offer pro fight gloves as far as lace ups go. I'm used to the brands separating their gloves between bag gloves, sparring gloves, etc. I'm looking to get lace-ups because I know in general they offer better wrist protection.

Winning doesn't really separate their gloves like that. I don't really know which is for which but I got the white pro-gloves 14s. Use them for training. I would think that the velcro were made for training but no one really uses the velcro. Even Hozumi Hasegawa uses the lace ups for training.

As for size, depends on your hand size. I personally have smaller hands, so I don't go to the 16-18s. I'm guessing your going to use them for training only so, if you got small hands like me go to the 12-14s. Larger then you might want the 16-18s.

They are perfect for everything and mine haven't started breaking down yet. Even for sparring, if you got the 12-14s, their is so much padding that you don't need to worry about hurting your partner. Unless your higher weight class.(i'm a welter)

The 16's are so lightweight they feel like 14's.

          Get 16oz lace up.

I actually just got the Winning 14 oz velcros. I do not like them that much. The wrist support is not good at all. I have smaller hands as well and there appears is a little room inside the glove that kind of makes my hand slide around inside. I imagine if the wrist was tighter than there would be less movement, so I would suggest you get the lace ups. However, the padding is great and the craftsmanship is amazing. They seem like they will last a long time. I do a lot of training by myself, so I need velcros to get them on and off easily. Good luck! You can't go wrong with Winning!

Out of all the gloves I've had, only the Rival RB1's had good wrist support as far as having velcro/hook-&-loop.

I actually have the Rival RB20 bag gloves and they have great wrist support as well. They are pain to get on by myself, but the support is great. I have not worn them much, because I have the fighting sport bag gloves too that broke in really well. I like them too. I am looking for 16 oz sparring . I may try grants, but I am probably better off buying winning lace ups. After all, that is what this thread is about.

get them in 16oz for all around work

you could also get them in 12-14oz and get their gel pads to use them for sparring too. i know a guy said that 12 ouncers could be used for sparring, but i tried them and my partner complained. once i used the gel pads he said they were ok tough, since they add about 3oz to each hand

I'm about 120 lbs, so I have smaller hands. Should I still go for the 16 oz's?
