    Train With Foot Blister?

I got a blister I guess today, maybe from running or something?

IT's literally right on my index toe, right above my toe nail. My nail got cut a week ago so it's not long or anything,

but there is a circular little blister right above the toenail, which seems like it will rub off a tad when I run and train and everything.

What's the best way to handle this? I'm in training and I don't want to stop until a blister heals, but I also don't want to make it worse. Anything you recommend doing to it?

(Maybe putting something on it before I go to bed, and then putting some sort of tape on it while I train/run?)

You've got to be kidding me. You will let a blister stop your training? ****in' rub some dirt in it and put in the work. You can't be training for boxing, what is it a bowling or badmitton league?.....Rockin'

you want to drain the blister but you dont want to actually poke a hole in the blister it self so what you want to do is use a needle to poke into your skin like 1/2 a CM from the blister and then use the needle to make a tunnel into the blister keeping the blister skin intact and strong. once you drain the blister good wrap a bandaid or tape around it and see how it feels when your training.

Just **** it and battle on. I've got one on the sole of my foot at the minute an it's hurting like a bastard right now. Right on the ball of my right foot from last night. I'm off to the gym in half an hour to pop the muthafunka in my boot hahaha

if you get them a lot i was shown a trick some years ago, soak your feet or hands in white spirit. it's probably not reccomended by many or even used by many, but it works. it wont fix your problem now, you just have to get through the pain, thats all you can do

Make sure it's not a blister from friction, if so, check the shoes and socks. The poster above is right on with draining and wrapping, don't disturb the skin, it will re-adhere itself if done right, and you can keep on going.

Take care of them, and drain properly. If the skin gets too soft(moist shoes/socks)and it's a friction blister, it will keep getting larger. Eventually popping on it's own during training, and the skin might rub off (from the friction). Can't train with no skin on your feet.

my running shoes have huge holes in them, after being fed up with wearing three pairs of socks, duck taping the soles and still having snow and water leak through i decided to wear a old pair of basketball shoes i found deep in the closet.

turns out they were waaaaay to small and my left big toe has been completely black ever since then, which was mid november. i thought it would go away when thet toe nail grew out but it didnt, now im thinking maybe i should see a doctor.

long story short for about a week i could barely walk, yet somehow i managed to train. your *****ing about a blister? this is boxing man, are you gonna take a week of every time you get a bloody nose in sparring aswell?

once when i was a kid i got some **** like that and i just tore it of with a screwdriver and tossed it behind a bookshelf (perhaps not very hygenic in retrospect).

You can't box without feet. Take care of your body. If I knew someone had an injury, I'd exploit it.

It's a friggin blister, it's not like he lost a foot or something. I sparred/fought with huge ass blisters on my feet from running the hills. It will only affect him as much as he allows his mind to let it affect him. A blister, lmfao.......Rockin'

                    Treat foot injurries well.

Long story short, I thought I could "tough out" an ingrown toenail since I have had so many before and they always went away after I dug them out. Ended up with an major infection: fever, swelling, nice spider veins and stuff of that sort, lost mobility/sensation in that foot, and the puss buildup was so great, it squirted out and two toenails removed with pliers. If I had just taken care of it the way it was supposed to, I would have been down for a few hours from the Dr's visit instead of waiting for my big toenail and the one next to it to grow back.

As if I didn't learn my lesson from that time, I did it again and this time with my thumb.

If you're diabetic, an infection can kill ya.

To the OP - take care of your body if you want it to last, we're just a bunch of internet Doctors.
