how do you handle training but not being able to compete (gym cant find fights)..... i been training for a year now... felt prepared for the longest time ever... spar with people who trained consistently for years, and i feel very comfortable.. but it's so frustrating and mentally painful to feel like im training for nothing... I just wanna compete :'(......

It's all part of being a fighter, get used to it and learn to deal with it.
What will you do when you have a bout lined up in 2 months, you bust your ass training for those 2 months only to have your opponent back out of the bout for some reason.
Keep in the gym and keep ready, the phone calls for next day or two bouts come at the oddest times. Stay ready........

When you love it, it's tough to be away from.
You are young, and like me, you probably take that for granted like I did. If boxing is indeed going to be your 'thing', than do it. Do it well, do it often and do it because you love it and would like to achieve .
These days that you miss, because of whatever reason, are days that you will NEVER get back. Make the most of every single day. On the days to train you train like a MFer and on your days to rest you rest like a MFer. If you do the first part right than the second part will come naturally.
What I'm trying to convey here is that you only get one chance to do it right. If boxing is what you want than whats you gonna do?......Last edited by Rockin'; 06-21-2014, 08:06 PM.

Next thing you know you are in the locker room changing again and your workout is complete.

You might want to come to Asia, train for a few weeks and do an amateur fight here. You'll find more opponents your size and its good life experience. Let me know if you're interested I can recommend some gyms.
