    You teach the CROS?

How would you teach people to throw the jab? (if you could only teach them one way to throw it)

I will do the first answer I will teach you how I would teach someone to throw the jab.

    1) Push off the rear foot (the fist must hit before the front foot touches the ground to get max power, but the kinetic chain has to stay intact too ie dont arm punch)

    2) Torque the hip a little

    3) Rotate the fist over just before impact (all the way so the thumb is almost pointing towards the floor, this maximizes snap and the protection of the chin)

    4) Tighten your grip at impact to add an extra kick of power and make the transmission/structure of the arm/body solid

    5) Connect with the 2 biggest knuckles

So thats pretty close to how the Russians throw their jab too, its my answer, now tell me yours

I couldn't understood what you mean in first one but if it's step-and-jab , then , i'll teach him/her that way. I have 1-2 other ways in ma mind but they'll be a bit advanced for the beginner. Step and punch is really good way to jab if you are castle like fighter (kudryashov or ggg for example)

Just teach the mechanics of your favorite jab. In a simple number step way like I did.

In america , boxers throw punches. In soviet russia , punches throw boxers.

          @Alexkid

Step with your front foot and snap the jab after 0.2 seconds you landed your front foot. Maybe it's like your 1st type , +- differences.

the cross, it's a simple 2 step process.

1- Make fist with power hand.
2- Connect it to opponents nose.

            you're welcome..........

I wouldn't want to learn any punches from a limp d1ck motherfcker.

You can't teach someone to punch by telling them, you have to show them.

No the foot can land on impact, you don't want your hands away from you with a foot off the matt (no balance)

                    2) Torque the hip a little
No I don't teach the hip unless the hook is being thrown, the hip need not be turned so that bending the knees for defense isn't compromised.

                    3) Rotate the fist over just before impact (all the way so the thumb is almost pointing towards the floor, this maximizes snap and the protection of the chin)
Again I do not teach the fist be turned to the max, I prefer to pronate so that the palm is facing down. The shoulder positioning will hide the chin.

                    4) Tighten your grip at impact to add an extra kick of power and make the transmission/structure of the arm/body solid
Before impact for the beginner to insure safety for the hand.

                    5) Connect with the 2 biggest knuckles
No, think of your fist as a one piece connection rod, however the larger knuckles usually absorb the greater percentage of the blow.

Good questions, and no made up words to describe them.
                    Ray.
