    practice. eventually when you get the hang of it you get to incorporate fun tricks while doing it. I suck at doing jumping jacks while roping

      Doing things like switch legs, cross your arms, etc seem to make time go by faster/is less fatiguing.

          Polymetric exercises will work to tighten the spring like portion of the hop allowing the energy of the landing to go back into the hop more efficiently

            Just keep practicing, when i started i was sooo poor....would get caught every few skips...

            Now i can go for ages until i start to get tired before i make a mistake....switching feet constantly...double swings lol....cross overs...w/e..

              Its all about practice bro. I used to jump really high when I started. but then I watched Nick jump rope (Nick Casal) and I just watched then I started getting it after a month or so of about 10 minutes a day. Then I got it down. now I just throw my ipod on and just go to the beat crossing my legs, double jumps, 1 foot etc
