New owners are bound to f#ck some sh^t up. I'm sure this will be corrected if this is legit.

That said there are reasons to suggest the UFC is a sh^tty company, but this isn't one of them.

This is just one of the small things that lead to bigger problems. I'll never understand why that company choose to but the UFC. Fighters are going to unionize sooner rather than later. The fighters are becoming more educated about their rights. The pendelum has swung to far in favor of the UFC. It has to swing back towards the fighters. You see more and more fighters speaking out. The rankings aren't independent. They're determined by the UFC. That clearly favors the UFC over the fighters. Would the UFC have made Brook vs. Khan or Brook vs. Spence? Of course they would've made Brook vs. Khan over Spence. That's why you need independent rankings. More congressional sponsors have signed onto the Ali Act for MMA. UFC had a nice lil run but once the playing field is evened they'll do worse than boxing. Even before the Ali Act boxing promoters worked with each other and were used to dealing and working with the competition. That's a foreign concept for the UFC. I'm a casual observer of MMA and I could see the pendulum was about to swing back towards the fighters. I would've never bought that company for the price they paid.

I doubt this, but obviously I could be wrong (and I'd like it in this instance if I do end up being wrong).

Boxers have been getting screwed for decades upon decades. They didn't unionize. I doubt MMA guys will either.

'Labor' in this industry is cheap. It's tough to unionize when you have a vast supply of cheap labor.

UFC are doing this because they're almost bankrupt, they need every penny, especially now that Conor is a professional boxer.

Um, no. They were just purchased, for a massive amount of money.

No, Connor is not a pro boxer. He's never fought professionally as a boxer, and I believe he's under UFC contract. He isn't boxing anyone unless UFC approves it.

That, and he'd still need to get licensed and an opponent approved.

I'm one who thinks that could be a huge problem. Can you see a Boxing Commission license a fight between a guy who is 0-0 making his debut against a guy whose 49-0 and considered the best ever????
