Could Muhammad Ali go 20 rounds if he trained for it?

I think that he could go 20 rounds, but I wouldn't want to watch it. Training or not, that's a long time. It would probably end up boring.

Frazier definitely would have KO'd him if there were 5 more rounds. 11-15 were hell for Ali, while Frazier seemed to be finally warming up. I think that he (Frazier) could have beaten Foreman too, had he managed to make it past round 4 in their first fight. Maybe there should be a thread about how many rounds guys like Frazier, or Marciano could go.

"Going rounds is a state of mind. If you can go four rounds you can go six, if you can go six then you can go 10. You go 10, 15 and so on. It's only a state of mind." - Tyson, April '87

Tyson said he would "definitely" be able to condition himself to go to 26 rounds. He was analysing the Johnson/Willard fight

Too bad Tyson only applied that train of thought against Ruddock...right before going to prison.

They took a lot of rounds off back then, you gotta also admit they were dead tired when a fight went that long..usually both fighters hobbling around the ring.

It would be hell for him to do and thank many fights such as Jeffries would have beaten him oin a 20 round fight Ali would have had sharky out of there befor it went twenty
