Yes, I think he is. He beat Robinson twice, was beating Robinson until Robinson landed the perfect left hook and he managed to knock out Basilio twice which was very hard to do, Basilio had a great chin.

Robinson was past his prime, after Fullmer beat him the first time Robinson went and lost a close decision to Basilio but then best Basilio in a rematch. The last time they fought was Robinson's last title fight so Robinson was past his best but was still dangerous in their first and second fights as evidenced by the perfect left hook in the second.

They fought a total of four times Fullmer winning 2, Robinson 1 and 1 fight even.

He was the first guy I've seen to use that elbow defence that Mayweather loves so much, though he really didn't move it up and down much, mostly just to protect his jaw.
