a lot of people will probably pick Holyfield, but let's not forget Norton went 12 with Ali and Holmes, so by the looks of it, if you aren't a huge puncher - he is a good boxer. I see this going 12 rounds.

** The real real deal of course, Norton.

Much higher workrate and stamina and a natural heavy. Norton was incredibly consistent and only vulnerable to big punchers whereas EH was pretty much up and down after beating a bloated Buster as far his heavy performances go. Not a big puncher, so he'd have a puncher's chance, but Norton can match him in power as well.

Norton is a hard man to out-box. Ali and Holmes had a handful and they were the boxing gods.

Yea Norton is very underated, he could box all night. He gave a Prime Holmes hell.

Norton's weakness was punchers. Against guys who could crack, he'd just crumble (Foreman, Shavers, Cooney, and rumor has it Frazier used to **** him around the gym pretty easily too). Fortunately for him, Holyfield is not a known heavyweight puncher.

This one is a tough one and could go either way. Norton fought in the golden era of heavies while the crop of big boys in Holyfield's time wasn't bad either.

Still, just given his work rate, his toughness, strength, and underrated boxing skills, i gotta go with Evander here. Holyfield UD in a barn burner.

This would be a really good fight, I wonder if Holyfield could have pushed Norton back because Norton was not nearly as good going backward as he was going forward, if Norton manages to stand his ground and move forward, I'd pick him to win a decision, if Holyfield manages to push Norton back then I think Holyfield would win. Good fight.

Norton's style was developed to defuse slick boxers like Ali and it worked very well; it's drawback was it left him completely wide open to aggressive punchers that came straight at him. Holyfield fits into neither of those catagories which makes this an intruiging matchup. Call it a close decision for Holyfield where Evander out-works Norton down the stretch a'la the first Qawi fight.
