    Raul Perez held wins over
Gaby Canizales(former WBO Bantamweight champion) Won the title after defeat to Perez. And former WBA Bantamweight champion pre Perez fight)

Wilfredo Vazquez(Was coming off a SD defeat to Khaokor Galaxy) Perez beat him UD 10. Going into the fight Vazquez was a former WBA Bantamweight champion. Would tko Perez in 3 rounds in March 92 taking the WBA Bantamweight title of Perez. and Wilfredo would go on to make 9 defences before losing it to Antonio Cermeno on UD.And then would go no to win the WBA Featherweight title.

Miguel Lora(Reiging WBC Champ going into fight with Perez and had a perfect 31-0 record) Perez beat him by UD over 12) Lora would go on to challage for 2 more world titles losing both.

Perez also held good/solid wins over Cardenio Ulloa Barria,Gerardo Martinez,Pepillo Valdez.

Perez made 7 defences of his WBC title, and held onto it for 3 years. After this Perez would go on to win the WBA bantamweight title on a SD against Luis Enrique Mendoza, but it would be short lived, as he would lose it in his next defence, and after this his career dropped and would lose another world title bid, and then would win and lose fights against low level oppostion before hanging up his gloves in 200.

As for his oppostion, overall i would say ''Good'', Wilfredo Vazquez, Gaby Canizales were good wins and both were very underrated fighters who achieved alot, and Perez also made some good title defences in reign with WBC title. But most lighter weights fighters get questioned for there oppostion as there isn't as much about as there is say welterweight and Middlweights etc, but there still can be plenty of good fighters around the weight, and sometimes there can be better fighters at the lower weights than highers but it dosen't always happen.

But Perez is pretty underrated and dosen't really get talked about on here, and was a very good fighter in his prime.
