Actually Raleigh isn't a surprise at all. North Carolina hasn't has a boxing commission since covid hit. Those of us training in this state, amateur or pro find ourselves going to other states to fight. I've fought twice this past year in SC.

          24 Philadelphia
          26 Miami
I thought New Yor City would be in the top five

Philly at 24 is almost sad for a fight fan to see

Miami I thought would be higher as well

So what the hell goes on in Laredo TX, you're down there?

Laredo? Most of the boxing is in Houston, Arlington and San Antonio

Laredo 200 miles upriver from the above/\ on southeastern tip of Texas splashing into the Gulf of Mexico.

And no, I'm well over 200 miles North of them though we are flooded with their illegal migrants as a key destination "Sanctuary."

With such a southwest Texas domination, add in California, New Mexico, and Arizona all placing high, one wonders if we done need to start referring to Mexico City as the new "Meca of Boxing".

                  - - As you follow Interstate 10 West through Arizona, just south of Phoenix, I-8 to San Diego begins off of I-10 where you pass through the notorious Sonoran Desert where so many ravaged settler bones reside.

There is a HUMONGOUS Billboard to the south visible from I-8 about the size of a few football fields that "advertises" MEXICO.

Or at least it was there when I passed through in 2007.
