Who would have won if Tyson fought Lewis in 1996?

I think tyson would have won in 96. I think Lewis would have been scared of Tyson at this time as Tyson still had something. I pick Tyson on points.

Lewis went life and death with Ray Mercer in that year. It would have been an interesting fight for that particular period.

Nah, I'm a Tyson guy, but post-prison Tyson doesn't beat Lewis.

If he couldn't be Holyfield, he definitely wasn't beating Lewis.

Tyson's tactics (if one can even call them that) against Holyfield were embarrassing in retrospect. Throwing hard single punches and then falling into clinch after clinch.

The main thing that kept Tyson competitive was his relative youth and the fact he was still an incredible physical specimen. He was still able to instil fear in the likes of Bruno and Seldon just because of who he was.

Do you think he would have beaten Lewis in 96?

I doubt it but he would have had a better chance than in 2002.

Y'all keep juxtaposing me into talking mad **** about one of the great ones. **** you guys.

I am very curious where this new interest in Lewis is coming from. Partner threads on both forums and all. I dare say I've caused some exchange Just seems a mighty strong coincidence I remind two forums Lennox caused the WBA super to exist, get told nuh-huh by all, prove it with the same old wba website, and all of a sudden there's multiple threads on both forums about Lennox in general.

Why 1996 is not old for a champion crowned in 87?

Why are all these threads Mike, but aged doe. Why can't 1980s Tyson fight? And since Lennox is older, and has more experience than Tyson, why TF does everyone forgive the fact that he waited until mid 89 to go pro? Ensuring, beyond any doubt, Mister Tyson must fight on at the top level for years before Lennox might have to face him? 81-84 for Mike. 83-89 for Len. 81-84 Holy. Uh. But he didn't wait doe

Being the last one standing should not outshine everything that came before. He knew, he doesn't even hide it. His action's don't just tell the tale, his 2002 when his ass did finally see Tyson interviews are all about how great prime Tyson was and how Lennox aged better. FFS

This sad boy story y'all tell where it wasn't his fault. **** off. This the fight game and your boy's got nothing but excuses. Stop listing Rahman and McCall as resume wins ffs he is their only win. You don't beat the man who only KO'd you and call yourself great for it FFS. He wasn't frozen out of ****. He waited to debut and when Mike hung around past what was expected he fought side pieces and hypejobs.

While Mike was gathering the titles from men like Spinks, Lennox was waiting in Amateurs for no reason given. Had he debuted in 86, which he damn well should have, he'd've possibly seen a Tyson worth fighting. He debuts in 89 then in 02 tells you in his prime Mike was impossible but he didn't age well and I (Lennox Lewis) aged like wine. With a smile. And somehow this jamook is the one always put over? **** off. 89 Lewis vs 87 Tyson only seems unfair because y'all do not hold Lennox Lewis to his long ass amateur stay or his tepid rise to title contention. Like as if Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield didn't have to deal with Don King too.

I love our last undisputed before Usyk. Until you compare him to the last undisputed to stack defenses or the last undisputed to gather belts and stack defenses high. When Mike Tyson is taking out Spinks Lennox Lewis was preparing for his debut despite being the older man. Who did Lennox beat in his career? Couple of dudes whose amateur careers overlap his in the 80s but he didn't fight until 2000s after they're champions for like 15 years, bros like Briggs who get made fun of when the subject is Vitali, and of course the hypejobs he proved he didn't take seriously enough.

Wowee, sure shows Mike and Evander who the real one was

                - - In 96 Lewie look like shyte vs Mercer, barely scraping a majority decision while trying to comeback from his one punch KO loss to McCall. Tyson weren't much then, but he'd swarm Lewie with a blizzard of artillery for the KO.

The question was pretty simple: who would have won in '96? I missed your answer within that wall of theatrical text.

                    Holyfield was no angel either.

                    Dude was a headbutting machine

                    And of course, the roids.
