One of Mike Tyson's best interviews

Mike Tyson is one of the best interviews in all of sports when he's into it, because he's so smart, honest, open and his mind is like genius level. I found this Tyson interview and think it's one of his best.

    - - His best interviews were over in UK where the preeminent Boxing Journalist then interviewed him on TV while they watched classic fights. Cus tutored him very well.

If he interviews well today, that means he's in control of his meds, but anything historical he says about himself is suspect, the reason why I won't ever read a bio on him.

I witnessed most of it back in the day including the train wreck played out internationally in slomo.

You need to read Undisputed Truth, maybe the best boxing book ever written. Trust me brother, it's beyond fabulous and magnificent and prolific.

Mike is so much smarter & more insightful than a guy with his background has any right to be

It just goes to show you how environment & mental health issues can affect somebody's outlook & behavior.

Your memory of witnessing ANYTHING back in the late 80's, early 90's has been so distorted by Jim Beams little brother and or second cousin that ANYTHING you say has to be taken with a grain of salt and a lemon afterwards.

We always hear Mike's side of the story with Cus and it's emotional to see how much Mike adores Cus and the gratitude he has for Cus. Mike broke down in tears talking about Cus in the film version of Undisputed Truth. Mike must have always had the seeds of genius in him and Cus somehow saw it and developed it. Cus and Mike illustrates how powerful black white unity can be. Wish Cus kept a diary or something and there was some documentation in detail of all his thoughts and observations about young Mike. Sadly Cus passed too early and we only really get Mike's side of the story which is absolutely fantastic but Cus's perspective is equally as fascinating.

The bar business is great. Not getting rich, but I make an honest living, have plenty of friends and make great memories every day I'm above ground. Thanks for asking!!

His fans think he's this genius because he learned a few big words in his lifetime. He couldn't even read well into adulthood, and all he does now is quote smarter people than himself while failling to actually follow their smart advice in life simply because he lacks the actual brain power, and getting punched there for 20 years didn't eactly help. In reality this guy is very dumb and I bet he scores way below average IQ level.

                    What are you talking about?

His insight is far more profound than Marcus Aurelius.
