The 5 biggest names in boxing ever?

Who would you say the 5 biggest stars in boxing ever are?

Obviously I'm not talking about the 5 best in terms of ability I'm talking about the 5 biggest household names, for their time.

    I think I'd have:

    1. Muhammed Ali
    2. Mike Tyson

But I'm not sure who I'd have as the next three. Was Robinson a household name when he fought, I mean outside of boxing fans. Has Robinson only become a bigger name in retrospect? Mayweather is obviously a big name as is De La Hoya.

I really only got into boxing when I was around 10 and the only fighters I really knew who weren't british was Ali, Tyson, Frazier and Sugar Ray Leonard.

So who do you think are the top 5 biggest names in boxing, ever?

And omit Gary Lockett from your lists, he's obviously number 1, being P4P best and all that, but aside from Gary Lockett, who are the top 5 biggest names?

      Muhammad Ali
      Mike Tyson
      George Foreman
      Joe Louis
      Oscar De La Hoya

In that order, although I believe Rocky Balboa trumps them all.

Foreman's a good shout. Forgot about him. First time I'd properly heard of him is when we got a "George Foreman" grill and my elder brother told me he was a boxer. That was sometime mid nineties.

George is well known by many generations for boxing alone - He was bigtime in the 70's, fought in the 80's, and made comebacks throughout the 90's.

The grill was the icing on the cake and made him a household name and the 3rd most famous boxer of all time.

He was also very popular as a fight commentator for HBO.
