Bring back the O.G divisions !

Boxing needs to go back to the Original weight categories, this would ignite the sport into ONE true Champ per class and help with problems associated with pugs making weight. GET RID OF BULLS___T BELTS !!!

The best thing for the sport & fans would be to bring back one belt for each weight class.

But sadly the promoters/sanctioning bodies/fighters make too much money. Thank God for Ring though.

if we had only 8 weight divisions and one unified champion we would see a fight every 9 months on TV this and other websites would die a death, boxing would become an obsolete sport... Today we have 68 world champions to accomodate tv companies who like to show boxing on a regular weekend basis... true boxing fans know who the real champions are in each weight division... IMO we need rid of The Ring Magazine which is nothing more than a Golden Boy Promotions program in our days.

Agreed. Weight divisions are for a reason.
Somewhere else in the past there were such discussions , and in one of them someone wanted the weigh-ins immediately pre fight. and if it wasn't what he wanted that's what I want. And in this case , an additional SHW division at somewhere about 220lbs will be even more needed than it is already now.

Boxing needs to have random OSDT for the top 25 boxers in the world and test them all year around.

Boxing also needs to be more on regular TV for people who can't afford to buy PPVs. HBO and Showtime should put together better cards instead of putting together bull**** cards and garbage undercards.

Get rid of all these ****** ABC belts and organizations. Only have one belt per weight class and no super champ, diamond belt, etc.

Boxing really needs one commission for the whole US instead of having all these commissions with different rules. Have one commission with the same rules, testing, etc.

I'll settle for 2 recognized titles. Boxing has usually had two recognized/respected titles until the mid 1980s, after which it just blew up and got ridiculous.
