Tyson was well ahead through 5, actually. 50-44, 49-46, 49-46. He did look very vulnerable to Thomas' jab after the first round, though.

Bruno was terrified, Ruddock was a decent fighter though, he just needed a better trainer. Tyson at that point had become a head hunter as well, just walking in, no head movement, throwing single bombs.

His the oldest 25 year old fighter in the world- is what one sports writer said after the Ruddock II fight

Which is strange, seeing as how he was able to counter it so well with the left hook.

He threw very few power shots after the first round (he rocked Thomas pretty hard in Round 1). After the 5th round, Kevin Rooney said to Tyson, with a menacing tone, "Start throwing punches with mean intentions." Tyson did just that in Round 6.

You'd have to be a raging idiot to think Tyson was actually winning the fight, before the 6th round.

Thomas was out-landing Tyson by a large margin. Tyson only won one round. Maybe two, if you're his biggest fan.

I remember that, but he still took the middle rounds off for some reason and allowed Thomas to work his way back into the fight. I guess the "cracks" were always there, but no one wanted to see them

I had him winning rounds 1 and 6

I wouldn't say Bruno looked or fought terrified in the first fight. It was the second fight where he looked and acted like he was on his way to his own hanging.

I thought he was getting ready to face a firing squad.

I stopped watching boxing after Benn-McClellan, but I did come back from my self imposed exile to check out the return Of Tyson. After watching the Tyson -Bruno fight, I knew that Tyson was never going to be the same fighter from the 80's again

Tysons prime was 86-90(when he was beaten by douglas) he was still a good fighter before he went to prison but when he came back he wasnt the same. I watched all his comeback fights as im a big fan of tyson. He looked in great shape when he returned slim and ripped. But you could see he was missing alot of punches against Mathis Jnr. I thought his best performance when he came back was the bruno 2 fight he looked good but that was against a old Bruno. I voted Bruno 1 when he was past his prime but it ended after the douglas fight.
