Who do you guys rank as the greater fighter and why?

Well Dempsey would easily knock Gans out,...... lay down misere that one. But of course, that not how I rank them...... it was still a thought though, I wouldn't put it past Joe Gans to give it a try. In terms of pure impact,.. of course I have to rate Dempsey as one of the top 3 of all time, due to the fact that his POPULARITY was such that he drew the first 4 "million Dollar gates", and all fighters who came after him are forever grateful for that. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now that I have that out of the way,... it's Gans as the pound 4 pound over Dempsey in every department except for P4P punching power which I favour Dempsey,..... but Gans was a ****er as well...... I have two fighters of his decade at least above him.,,,,,,,,, I have Benny Leonard at #1 as the p4p king of the 1920's with Harry Greb at #2,...... I rate Jack slightly higher than Gene Tunney as I believe that the 1921 Jack Dempsey nullifies Tunney's advantages,,.... by knocking Gene senseless by the 5th or the next round............... I think Dempsey KO's Jack Johnson too,,,, but only once in six.
