      Shane Mosley-De la Hoya I
Roberto Duran-too many lw fights I haven't seen to make a judgement
Pernell Whitaker-this is a hard one he use to mess about so much, JLR II
Larry Holmes-Berbick(haven't seen quite a few of his fights either)
      Manny Pacquiao-Barrera I
Ray Robinson-from what I understand theres no film of him at his best

Shane Mosley - Oscar De La Hoya I - He was so fast, I was convinced that I had to redownload the fight. I thought I had gotten a bad copy because I could barely see his punches moving. Ungodly performance by Mosley.
Roberto Duran - Ray Leonard I - Is there any doubt? He would have beaten the heavyweight champ that night.
Pernell Whitaker - Julio Cesar Chavez - Tricky, but he just dominated an all time great. Made him look like a fool.
Larry Holmes - Couldn't tell you
Manny Pacquiao - Miguel Cotto - Unbelievable performance. People who say Cotto was shot should rewatch that fight - he came to win. Cotto looked awesome for the first four rounds and Pacquiao absolutely blitzed him. When you're throwing three punch combos from the tip of one toe, that's pretty hard for me to believe.
Ray Robinson - All the footage I've ever seen is supposedly past prime, but the best I've ever seen him is LaMotta IV. Crushing win.
Muhammad Ali - Either Liston I or Cleveland Williams - Take your pick. Williams ******, but Ali looked spectacular. Liston didn't suck by any means and Ali looked spectacular.
Thomas Hearns - Leonard I - I know he lost, but he looked fantastic. Awesome boxing display, just lost to the better man.
Evander Holyfield - Qawi I - Holy's best fight at his best weight, this is a really underrated win. He had all those stamina concerns and he battled through them.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Shane Mosley - Floyd showed me something when he took those right hands and then cameback to completely embarrass a game Mosley. Make no mistake, that was the same Mosley that came in against Margarito, he just couldn't do a damn thing against Pretty Boy Floyd.
Roy Jones Jr. - James Toney - Not as spectacular as his win over Richard Hall, but Toney was the pound for pound king and looked like an idiot against Roy.
Ray Leonard - Hearns I - That was a rare, maybe singular fight where two all time great fighters were at their very bests. Leonard showed that he wasn't an invincible boxer, but that he was an incredibly underrated slugger. He outpunched the puncher and led to an amazing fight.

            Damn Qawi slipped my mind

I understand why you picked the Mosley fight, just mentioning that it really showed that Floyds past prime.

Do you really think so? Because he got caught with a couple of punches? Nobody's perfect...I agree that he's coming up on the end of his prime, but he was very, very good.

P.S. Tyson I was my first pick for Holy, too. Really shows how underrated that wins is.

Mosley's best night, hmmm struggling to decide if it was Oscar the first time in that high paced chess match, its a classic with skill, toughness, will, speed and power in abundance from both fighters abundance. Oscar gets it rough from most fans but back then he was still one helluva fighter, when the WW division was redhot a while back with guys like Cotto undefeated in it i rewatched Mosley vs ODH and just thought my god these guys in their day woulda demolished this current lot!

OR if it was against Margarito, Tony it seems had weight making issues and just cant have been "right" after getting found out about the wraps (not that thats Shanes fault or problem!) and on hindsight he seems taylor made for Mosley. All that said it was a special performance - one for the ages. Truely special, Shane looked shot to bits before securing a last round KO or Mayorga only 1 fight beforehand, Tony was the big bad wolf of the division, the most feared man in boxing apparently and was fresh off his greatest triumph - an eleventh round mauling of Undefeated Puerto Rican sensation Miguel Cotto. I honestly thought and i think most did, that Mosley was in for a beating and probably his first career stoppage given Margarito's relentless attacking style and Shane's seemingly ridiculous claims that he would KO Margarito. But Mosley put it on him like he had stole something from him, Shane hit him with everything And the kitchen sink! And he got the stoppage that less than an hour beforehand had seemed absurd!

I'll do the rest one at a time when i can be bothered!

Here's how I look at the Margarito fight. Margarito is a very mental fighter. Not in the same way as a Floyd or a Benitez, but he has a very specific mindset he needs to be in to fight. If you've ever read the Art of War, Sun Tzu refers to the concept of "Death Ground" where an army (or in this case, a fighter) cannot retreat so they can only go forward and fight doubly as hard. Now there's nothing physically barring Margarito from retreating, but his pride won't let him stand down. That's how he keeps himself in the fight during those first few rounds while he's really working up that frenzy that he fights with in the later rounds. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to stay in the fight long enough to get the point where he can throw 130 - yes 130 - punches in a round. When Naazim found those plaster wraps, he really humiliated Margarito. That compromised his pride quite a bit. He never really whipped up that berserker-rage that he showed in the Cotto fight or, to a lesser extent, the Pacquiao fight. He even took a couple of steps backwards, not to get space like he did when he had Cotto on the ropes, but a visible retreat. That shows me exactly how compromised Margarito's mental state really was.

Now, none of this is Shane's fault, but he didn't beat the same Margarito that walked down Cotto.
