Love him or hate him he was quite simply BOX OFFICE!

Boxing misses him and no-one has come close to replacing him.
I always loved watching Hamed fight. And the more boxing message board people hated him, the more I liked him. When he finally lost a decision to an ATG you'd think his whole career was a fraud if you listened to fans. It's a joke that he isn't already in the boxing HOF.

The first time I saw the Prince fight was against Tom Johnson. There was this one moment where Johnson throws a punch, Hamed leans back and without moving his feet (and without first standing back straight up,) he leans around to the side of Johson and hits him. Never seen anything like it before or since, except from him. Became an instant fan. The Kelly fight was one of my favs.

He would tear through the current 147- 160 divisions.

Mike Tyson, Tommy Hearns, Nigel Benn, Naseem Hamed, all got my pulse to rise to rise a bit..

As for the old school, good call from GJC. To see Greb would be a treat, and i'm of the opinion he'd silence the doubters..

Absolutely, a past his best Prince lost about an 8-4 decision fight to an ATG in his prime. There is no shame in that.

I think due to Hamed's personality, there were always going to be haters wanting to see him getting beat. The claims you hear sometimes of "fraud" etc etc are ridiculous though and people should respect what Hamed did for the sport in regards to taking boxing to a wider audience.

He should be in the HOF I agree. Just a shame he hasn't gone down as an ATG as he had the skill to achieve that.

I think he will get in at the next chance. He should be held in higher estime than he is, u feel he's looked at as a shooting star, an exciting guy with an ego and showmanship but not respected as the great fighter he was because on his night he was special and a privilage to watch
