    Cobb is a great choice.

From Marchegiano's list I have to question the addition of Raqy Robinson at 4. Promoters despised working with him and many opponents thought of him as arrogant. Well respected yes. Well liked? Not really.

Tom Cribb, James Corbett, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali were all very well liked in their respective eras..

Henry Cooper, Georges Carpentier, Ingemar Johansson, Max Schmelling were all vastly popular in their respective homelands.

I think Sergio Martinez is a fighter who be difficult to dislike and seems to be pretty much well liked by most people.

Yeah that's true. I know some of his opponents didn't like him. Carmen Basillo was interviewed by HBO a few years ago and he still didn't like Robinson .While he respected Robinson as a fighter he called him an "SOB" and said he was the most arrogant, unpleasant person that you would ever want to meet. Gene Fullmer didn't like Robinson either.

Ali said Robinson snubbed and brushed him off after Ali traveled all the way to New York to meet Robinson following the Gold Medal victory. While Ali idolized Robinson as a fighter I got the impression he wasn't that fond of him as a person after reading the book.

From the documentarys I have watched he didn't seemed liked at all and wa very arrogant, not that I have an issue with that, his resume at that time alone was unbeliveable.

There was also a segment where he said he didn't care about his legacy at all. And only boxed merely for money. I would imagine alot of peope disliked the fact he said this.

Moore was a really great guy.
Fritz Holland........................................... but no inside the ring, I'm not saying he's the most loved fighter,... but he was a prince of a man, and I never heard a bad word ever said about him.

When I see lists made by fans of who their all-time faves are, Marvin Hagler is usually on them, and he ranks highly on them.
