I'd go with Louis-Schmeling II......for the nationalism surrounding the fight at such an intense time in the world, and to see Louis deliver quite possibly history's most savage performance.

Personally I'd go for any fight that doesn't have film. So pick any of the great fights from pre-1920.....and the Tunney-Greb fights of course

Id be at The Rumble In The Jungle! The Build Up, The Atmosphere, The Historic significance...

Fever pitch atmosphere - ALI BUMAYE! ALI BUMAYE!
Plus Ali would be an intersting chat to say the least! Dont know if i fancy a beer with a pissed off Foreman tho!

Either that or Tyson vs Berbick just coz Mike is my man and this was the night we Officially entered THE TYSON ERA.......

Brutal yet patient destruction of Berbick with comedy KO thrown in to boot lol

Oh very damn original of you,........ for chrissakes the film is in colour,... why don't you just watch the video....... if you had any sense at all you'd have names like Ad Wolgast, Harry Greb, John L. Sullivan, Jack Britton, Packey McFarland, Young Griffo, You seriously wouldn't want to see one of Britton V Lewis's 20 fights,...... Or Harry greb V Mickey Walker,. especially if you could be there later after the fight when they went again and had a streetfight....................... Anybody who doesn't want to see those or especially the phenomenal Ad WOLGAST V Battling NELSON has no right to call themselves a boxing fan.

Walker vs Greb would be ace man, seemingly the street fight is myth tho...

I still like to think it happened tho!

lol........ You are probably right about that, many think so, especially as they had fought 20 very hard rounds earlier,.......... But if we were there,.... well it wouldn't have been too hard to stir Mickey up enough to make the street fight happen,........ nah, that wouldn't have been hard at all.

I've always felt that the perceived "brutality" of the Tex Cobb-Larry Holmes fight has been overblown. I've watched the fight a couple of times and to me, it's not that ****ing brutal. I've seen some vicious fights in my time but this fight is not one of them. Yeah, Larry Holmes landed at will and peppered Tex's face with his sharp jab all night but he didn't land too many thudding blows that made me cringe...

                      Am I missing something here?...
