    Same surnames who fought

Dont know if there are many of these, one example of mine is:

Simon Brown vs Glenwood Brown, both former welterweight champions fought each other when they were past their prime, with Simon winning by decision, they had a common opponent in Maurice Blocker.

Not counting same rhymes, Joe Louis-John Henry Lewis.

Sugar Ramos vs Mando Ramos was the first one to come to mind.

You actually helped me again fatass206. By posting the Augustus fight in my 'incompetent referee' thread, I looked at boxrec for some info and saw that Augustus real name was Burton.

On October 31, 1946, Bobby Burton of Pittsburgh, Pa., was felled by a right to the body by Bobby Burton of Providence, RI, and died. He had been earning some extra money while on a two-week leave from his shipyard job.

                  Lovemore N'dou vs Phillip N'dou.

I was going for N'dou but glad N'dou won.

Tough job for the commentators that night.
