Complete list of current fighters who will be first ballot IBHOF inductees

You've got the obvious guys who are still at the top of the game:
    Mayweather
    Pacquiao
    Wlad
    Vitali
    Martinez

The guys who are still contenders but are in the twilight of their careers:
    Hopkins
    Marquez

The guys who should have retired years ago:
    Jones Jr.
    Holyfield
    Toney
    Mosley

And the guys who, when it's all said and done, will be first-balloters:
    Ward
    Dawson
    Maybe Cotto
    ... Who else?

Tarver's a close call to me... he may be a second or third ballot guy.
    Pavlik?
    Paul Williams?
NOTE: This is all barring any PED scandals/other types of scandals.

I don't think Vitali should be but he will be.

When all is said and done Donaire and Moreno should be, both definitely have the talent from what I've seen, Bantam / Super Bantam is a super stacked division atm and these 2 stick out too me.

Pretty good breakdown, but Mosley and Toney could have issues with PED backlash. Sportswriters are notoriously self righteous about these things. Williams and (especially) Pavlik have a ways to go to deserve it, and both of them may be past their peak.

Agreed; I should have specified that this is all barring any kind of scandals.

I think Williams has done enough at this point, and think Pavlik has some more great fights in him.

I agree about Vitaly, his comp is weak with no career defining wins and never having beat the best fighter in the division unless you want to count Sanders.

Martinez is another I'm not sold on. I think he needs to do more, but that's just me.

if these guys all retire at the same time then obviously there will be guys who are pushed to the second ballot.

it's all about who retires and when

edit : i read the lists
there are guys on there who will not even sniff the hall of fame

martinez and pavlik and williams are not hall of famers
martinez needs to do a lot more, and williams and pavlik are likely done
            especially williams
he's been getting his chin bombed on for more than a decade now

dawson and ward have a huge upside, but even ward, who has done much more, isnt a hofer yet. we dont know what will happen with these guys down the road, or the opponents they have faced.

Hall of Fame isn't Hall of the Very Good.

I am a huge Cotto fan, but I just don't see what he's done recently coming into effect as a Hall of Fame career. He was a phenom but lost to those better than him. If he beats Mayweather, then for sure. Otherwise I'd say he's just under the requirements. Pacman... I dunno, I have a lot of bias against him so I'll just leave it at that.

No way is Martinez a HOF'er.

Williams, Tarver, Pavlik are not HOF'ers either.

Cotto I consider Boarderline. As I do Vitali.

i dont think tarver should get in myself, but i think he's going to get in with the standards they're acting on these days.
