1st fight, srl stood toe to toe with duran and lost.

2nd fight, srl chose to play mind games, humiliate duran, and made him quit.

but at the end of their careers, i felt leonard was the one who "lost the mind game" in the second fight, not being able to prove himself the better fighter. although i doubt duran "no mas"-ed for a mind game :P...

He did prove himself the better fighter, even more so than a stoppage would. Say Duran didn't quit, he was already so far gone mentally in the fight that there was no way he was going to win another single round.

No Mas was just like any other fight where a fighter wilted mentally and was either stopped late in the fight or lost a shutout on points. The only difference is that Duran quit before that happened.

Read my previous posts...I always said the same thing..Duran won the mind
game because he never allowed Leonard to beat him.Duran didn't quit,he halted

I think the no mas fight haunted Duran greatly he may have put it to rest but it caused him to be depressed. He chose not to continue because he either mentally or physically could not handle leonard on that night. I am a big duran fan but he did himself and boxing a disservice. He new he had a top notch opponent in front of him and should have been focused to be prepared at an elite level.

The problem for Duran always,is that most people are dumb...Overcoming
ignorance is an impossible task.Their is no cure for dumb.The same people
that think Duran quit are the same people that think Mayweather hit
Victor Ortiz unfairly.Their is always more than meets the eye.Ortiz quit
that fight indirectly,because he was outclassed.He walked up to Mayweather
on purpose to get knocked out...and make Mayweather look like the bad guy.
