I wouldn't say I was biased bringing Lynch and Buchanan up in this thread as they are proven teak tough fighters with huge hearts.
Buchanan was as tough as old boots. Never stopped legit. Everybody knows Ken was nails. The Duran fight proved his ability to absorb tremendous punishment while still having the courage to fight fire with fire.
Lynch faced two fisted monster punchers like Peter Kane x2. He was a proven beast with an Iron chin, a ferocious fighting machine as well as being a fabulous boxer. Only stopped in his last fight when he was a bloated alcoholic mess. Many view him a top 3 flyweight.

Those two belong.
I wasn't second guessing your choices. Just noticed the coincidence.
Good question. Jim Lampley calls this The Gatti List, I like that name. In addition to the ones already mentioned, I'd go with Chavez Sr., Holyfield and Diego Corrales. Who would you guys add to your all-time Gatti List?
When I saw the headline of this thread, Chavez Sr. was the first name that popped up on my mind.
Maybe because I have a special fondness to this type of pugilists. Relying a lot on their strength, they ain’t only fighting their opponents, but also the clock. Yesterday’s 15-rounders did suit them better, now they must try to accomplish their task – to wear down a perhaps more gifted boxer – in 12 rnds or less.

.I read somewhere that when Duran was asked which opponent most earned his respect he said "Buchanan"
Which knowing Duran the way we all do that says a lot
Also Ron Lyle was like "Convict Tough" he do a 1000 pushups an hour and as Foreman said "He had absolutely no fear" the thing about Lyle was
he would lay on the ropes take extreme amounts of punishment ...nowadays they would stop the fight..Then he would fight back and knock the other guy out like in the Shaver fight..
Boxing's a tough sport so many right answers to this question its hard to argue with most of them
