I saw this a few months back. Insane and amazing story.

I know living with the thought of you killing someone must have been a challenge.

I think that Griffith's KO of Paret is the single most viscous TKO in the history of boxing, hands down. It would have been the case even if Parent hadn't died. It's sad that he died though.

Its refs foult,Emill was young and stiupid, also they have heated rivalary.Thats why I appreciate class like Ali had,he waves to ref to stop a guy, some would say that Ali just could say ref to give him TKO LMAO.

As the story goes, when the interviewer asked Emile what he's going to do to Paret going into the rubber match, he replied "I'm going to kill that mother****er"

Imo if you're capable of killing a man in that manner, you do not have the psychological ability to regret it. Not the act itself, that is.

Certainly but that went way beyond what could be tolerated as bad reffing. Griffith shared the blame.

That does not sound like a statement that came out of 1962.

            It doesn't? Why not?

I don't know if it's true by the way. That's just a story I heard. Someone may have made it up.

There was a lot of bad blood between the two.

Someone either made it up or re-worded it. I didn't live in the 60s but I'm pretty sure 'mother****er' wasn't used yet, neither was faggot in that context. We do know Paret called him a maricon though.
