Toney was the last fighter, imo, who was a clear throwback to the old school days of boxing. As if he had been time traveled 70 years to the future.

But would he have been as great if he fought clean?

I watched him as he tried sweating out those last ounces. I watched him sparring, trust me when I tell you that he was great.

For the majority of his career he did fight clean. Wasn't until he got to heavyweight that he used drugs. Still doesn't detract from his accomplishments considering his prolific win at heavyweight is Holyfield who was a drug cheat as well.
