I had Franklin winning, but the fight could have been 115-113 in either direction, and POSSIBLY a 116-112. I had 116-112.

Didn't seem like he thought he won at the bell. Went over to the Whyte corner to say we'll done to them. Slumped down and looked dejected. Had the look of a loser.

Only after he was asked if he thought he won did he have an objection.

Ftr, I thought it was very close, which is why I was surprised he didn't seem to until questioned.

Though the exact same thing - even midway thru the fight when he was doing his best work, he had that same look after every round. Head down, eyes down, dejected -

I wished he had given a Mikey Garcia fist pump or something like that to sway the judges in those rounds (not that he was going to get the nod anyway).

Dubois should fight him next. He just beat whyte in an eliminator despite what corrupt judges said. After all, Whyte is “a top contender” - or so we have been told for years here by Hearn jizz guzzlers.

I had it 114-114 but had one round that I couldn't pick a winner so gave it to whyte. If anyone should have gotten the decision it was franklin but it was a close fight and not what i would call a robbery other than the fact that you knew going in that hearn wanted whyte to win so he could match him against joshua. That is what raises eyebrows. If this was some random fight the scorecards wouldn't have been a big deal.

I had it a draw. What I’m confident about, is he will actually get a fight with AJ. Hearns will spin it as “a lot of people thought he beat Whyte, so this will be a good measuring stick for AJ going in to the Dillian Whyte fight”. In other words. And opponent, who is no real danger, but Hearns can sell—like he do.

I thought it was really close. He showed a good heart and chin and was able to punch in combination.

I can't remember which poster said it but Whyte's whole thing (well as a real top level danger) his counter left Hook disappeared. His cross armed defence stopped that as a weapon and likely prevented him knocking someone like Franklin out - that was dead on. Franklin pushed out combinations but really a confident Whyte would just be punching with him and would probably have got him because Franklin wasn't much of a puncher.

That said, to me Whyte took lots on the gloves and shoulders and much of Franklin's work was just pushing out volume. Relatively speaking (he is still a big lump) he didn't look like he punched very hard or caused much if any damage.

His fitness was impressive for a man who had the body fat percentage of a sausage.

Could have went either way, but those 2 scorecards at 116-112 were bogus. IMO it was a 1 or 2 point difference between winner and loser.

                  116-112 were disgraceful cards.

I don't blame Americans for not wanting to fight in the UK, they rarely get a fair shake.

Franklin seems like a really good dude, i hope he gets some extra paydays.

How did he get robbed? lol. Was on the backfoot all night. You can't go to an opponent's backyard and go backward most of the fight and hope to win. I think probably a draw or a narrow Whyte win were a fair result. Whyte landed the harder and more hurtful punches but Franklin was boxing better.

Whyte landed the more significant punches, almost getting Franklin out of there in the final round. Definitely not his best performance, though.
