Couple of questions from a noob

First of all, great community and the lurking has really helped me out. I still have a few questions if you guys would kindly provide some feedback. I just started out boxing as a hobby to get/stay in shape. Got burnt out on doing weights and the gym routine so bought this home gym boxing setup:

Similar to that with a 100lb heavy bag and a small speed bag.

The speed bag plaform is really flimsy and seem to move/vibrate quite a bit. Also, the gloves I bought (cheap instore $30 ones) are garbage and along with the shorter wraps.

Now I ordered some good gloves and 180inch wraps so my should be good to go but I'm wondering if it would be better to return the stand setup, hang the bag off the ceiling and get a stand alone wall mount piece for a speed bag?

The bag is already quite hard on the bottom and gives some nice stingers in the hand when throwing body blows. Is it just a "cheap" bag effect or do I need to do the duct tape routine to keep the stuffing even throughout? The top is getting quite light now and it's almost dangerous to hit, as my hand will half hit the soft and half hit the hard spot on the bag, almost buckling my wrist.

What wall mount speed back setup you guys recommend? of if I should get another heavy bag, what would you recommend?

Sorry for the long post and questions

if your just starting i wouldnt buy anything id spend around 4-6 weeks at the gym first to see if you like boxing and see if it worth buying any equipment

I've been doing it for a few weeks and everyday at work, I just wanna go home and work out on it. To me, it's addicting and am having a lot of fun so I certainly don't mind getting proper equipment.

I found a local small gym that I'll be trying out in a couple of weeks also but due to my schedule I can only go 2times a week thus the home equipment will make for majority of my workout.

I would recommend getting a membership at a boxing gym and use their equipment but if you cant find one please feel free to Instant message me about anything and i would be glad to help.

it sounds like the bag is ****ty. i would get a new bag and hang it from the ceiling and get a separate speed bag platform for the wall, if u can that is. make sure to run 4-5 days a week and do loads of pushups and situps, and pullups if u got a bar. as for ur hand, r u wrapping them right? def get into a gym and get proper instruction. if i were u, i would jus do conditioning and strength training til u go to a gym cuz u can develop bad habits that are hard to break. good luck man

Thanks for the input fellas! Not a lot of local boxing gym choice but I got a session setup with a MMA/boxing trainer in the area for next wednesday. Pretty damn excited!
