    Gloves in America?

Was at a sports shop yesterday and they only sold 12, 14 and 16 ounce gloves? Do you fight in 12 ounce gloves or something?? I needed 10 ounce gloves to fight in but also need 16 ounce to spar in and the 16 ounce only come in one colour.... whats the deal here?? Its not a boxing shop but it is a massive sports shop that sells loads of everything, it sells bags and stand for the bags and everthing for boxing just no 10 ounce gloves.. wierd. I also wanted pink gloves and they only have the pink gloves in 12 ounce.

STFU! Quit your bitching, Does it really F**Cking matter what colour your gloves are? NO! You should be training instead of whinging about how sports shops dont stock pink (wtf?). 12oz will do...

Or not, they clearly won't seeing as we fight in 10 ounce, and if i train in 12 ounce i wont be as fast as i would be if i trained in 16 ounce, use your brain, God gave you it for a reason.

Just bought Blue Everlast 16 ounce strap gloves. Look good, never bought gloves before im used to sparring with the ones alredy in the club and they feel as if there going to rip my opponents face apart because they arent all that soft lol.

Why do you need to buy 10 oz. gloves for fights? Gloves for fights are provided by whoever is hosting the event. In fact, you're not even allowed to fight using your own gloves if you wanted to.

                  punchdrunk is correct.....

also, all you are going to get in a sportshop is cheap $20 everlast. They aren't really intended for competition, or even hard training. I had the 16oz everlast from modells and they were terrible.

After 3 weeks I bucked up and got good pair of training gloves (16 oz). have had them for awhile and they are great.

just do that. they will last a long time.
