    positives and negatives

    hey guys, can any of you give me the positives and the negatives of weightlifting? Not necessarily everyday but maybe 2 days a week

    Weight lift and take enough steroids and you mite end up like this

          i don't really like the overly weight gain, but that might just because im on creatine right now as well.

          i do like the fact that your building up these muscles that otherwise you wouldn't and thus you become several times the fat burning machine you used to be (back, legs, ass, abs, etc..).

          i think compound lifts really help with explosive power too. use those big ass machines that the football players use, there is a reason why.

            I havent had any negatives. I've gotten faster, stronger, In even better shape, and i look great naked.

              hahahaha, yeah. the negative was only boxing concerned. i look better naked, def. hahahaaaa. but 5 lbs. is the difference in class for me.

                I started lifting in grade 11 for wrestling and i went from the 66kg weight class to 69-70kg(depending on the tournament). But it also had to do with the fact that i was at the age where your body grows alot anyways. But once i got to 70kg(154lbs) i felt more agile, explosive and stronger. and now freshly outta highschool im still lifting just with compound movements and i've been able to maintain my weight but get stronger.

                  positives = the obvious (if done properly)

                  negatives = time consuming, slows you down and makes you bulky (if done improperly)

                  boxing works every muscle in ur body better than weights do, IMO. if u dont want to lift weights, then dont, if u got time, then do.

                  but still, one has nothing to do with the other...
