Quick question, Are gloves weighed as a pair or seperately?

Hi guys

I just bought 2 pairs some **** gloves for home training and sparing. They are 16oz but I weighed them at home and one pair is 20oz and one is 18oz. I weighed both gloves together. They are both meant to be 16oz gloves and if they arnt menat to be weighed together the gloves are 10oz and 9oz?

Sorry I'm new with this.

Will the gloves even out to 16oz after some usage?

Then each glove should weigh 16oz.

As for the actual disparity in weight.. well... thats down to the manufacturer. I dare say that if you weighed every glove on the planet, that they might not exactly match what they say on the label.

I've had gloves at 16oz all my years boxing and some pairs have been heavier than others. So..

So one glove weighs 8.7oz and the other weighs 9.4oz or something. Should I take these back and complain? This is a bit far from 16oz
