Hey i dont know if any of you have had this problem, but i have been training on the heavy bag with 16 oz everlast gloves and i throw my left hooks exactly the way they should be thrown but im getting a really bad sharp pain in my left wrist. Im taking a couple of days off now and icing it but its hard to rotate my wrist without pain. Have any of you experienced this and I dont know if im throwing the hooks too hard on the heavy bag or not.

I had this problem a month or so ago, I was throwing left hooks and getting pain through the inside of my wrist. Seemed to clear up after a few days rest. Just keep up with the ice. The more you can ice it the better. Remeber no more than 10 minutes at a time with ice, and make sure you have your ice pack wrapped in a damp cloth,so you dont damage your skin.

Yea i have the same problem also. Ice your wrist after every use. Give it a break for a week too. Your wrist just needs to develop enough strength to handle all those hooks. It will get there. But if you overwork it when it is hurting you can potentially cause long term injury. So just rest and ice it for now.

I had the same problem and my wrist still hurts i threw a hard left hook and i sprained my wrist i went and got x-ray and it wasnt broken so they gave me a wrist in movalizer you could buy it at walmart for about 12.00 dollars. anyhow i stopped hitting the bag for about 3 weeks now because when i rotate my wrist i get a sharp pain but its slowly healing hopefully in a few days it will be ok.. also get one os thse stress balls or beads and squeese it and twist your wrist slowly so you can stretch it remember as it heals it kinda gets tense and tight so warm up your wrist, stretch it and it will lossen up..
p.s train safe and make sure you put on your wrps correctly with plenty of support on the wrist
