    What is your Body Fat Percentage?

    I was just curious what kind of body fat percentage people have on here. I'm starting a new routine because I'm not where I want to be looks wise. I'm 5'10'' & weigh 166, I want to cut down to like 150 or so.
    My body fat percentage is 19% which is pretty bad imo.

    if you don't know your body fat percentage, you can do a google search & there are tons of calculators where you can input your height, weight & a couple measurements and it will tell. (I would do a couple and find an average).

    im a personal trainer and take my body comp frequently with calipers (the 3 point method) at work.

    i am 6'2'', weigh 170-175 depending on when i weigh in and have 4.2% body fat at the moment. I am gonna fight 165 this year- sometime between nov and feb depending on when i get the ok from my trainer. cheers.

      im 16 6'2 and i weigh 177 i have 16% body fat...thats what amir khan came in at his first fight!

      but now he is claimg to be a 1.8% body fat....LIAR.

      i used to be quite chubby when i was about 12-13(i was the weight i am now when i was 5 foot tall lol)but i have done alot of running and some resistance training and i have a twopack(lol)now!! im setting my self a target of 12% body fat by october...i think i can do it.

        i think mines reasonably low, around 8-10 % or something, im not sure i forget i did check it once might be lower now

          I'm 6'2", Currently down to 229lbs from 245lbs. My current body fat percentage is approx. 12%

            Uhm, your numbers don't add up... IF you're 175 and 4.2%BF, that means you have a total of 7.35 lbs of BF. IF you're gonna fight at 165, you'll have to lose 10lbs. Somehow I don't see you going below 0% anytime soon... At 170 lbs, you have 7.14 lbs of BF, having to lose 5 of those pounds. Possible, theoretically, but hardly realistic, and definitely not healthy, much less smart for fighting!

            4.2% is already freakishly low, to the point of being unhealthy if you walk around like that for an extended period of time. In short, I think you're full of it... (you're welcome to post pics to prove otherwise)

              I'm 5"11, I usually fluctuate from 155-60, 155 I last checked though. Puts me approximately around 8-13%.

              Tbh though I've never had a thorough body fat examination, so i dont know my exact measurement, just the approximations of the calculators on the net!

                thats ok- you dont only have muscle weight and fat weight. there is water weight too. im not fighting for a while so i have time to adjust my body. anyone can lose 5-10 pounds of water weight. i have been mostly havering around 170 as of late. it used to only be after i worked out hard for a few hours, but two days ago i was 171 AFTER i ate which is encouraging.

                my caliper readings are as follow

                stomach- 5
                chest - 5
                thigh - 7

                total= 17. for my age group (the readings are interpreting different for different age groups) that reading is 4.6% (not 4.2- whoops). 3% is the minimum- the essential body fat.

                yea.. im certainly not full of it. just jacked. i train heavily for boxing, have a good diet, and work as a personal trainer, but you are entitled to think whatever you want. as for pics, im gonna make a ******* though pretty soon for my personal training and boxing stuff, so you can check the pics then... ill bump this for you at that time. peace.

                  Those online calculators are ****, if the answer is close then its just coincidence. The only way to get a real measurement is with calipers (or "bod pod") and they can be off usually about 2% either way. Im currently 5'10" 155lbs @ 8%ish bodyfat (6%-10%). Im trying to make welter but as I keep losing fat I keep adding muscle dammit.

                    does anyone else think amir khan is a liar?

                    no one can be at 1.8% body fat surley????

                    i also thought 3% was the minimum...and look at boxers like david haye.
                    he was ****ing ripped for the enzo fight and he said on setanta he was at 8% bodyfat.

                    and amir khan does not have as much definition as haye...i bet it was frank warren who told him to lie...just to make him sound like the fittest boxer on the planet!!
