Heavybag.. Ceiling Hooks Too?

I'm buying this heavybag..

It states on the website that I need to buy my own chain set so I've ordered that aswell..

I'm just wondering, will I need a ceiling hook to go with this? I've never bought a heavybag before and just wondered if I'll need one or if i can attach the chains to the ceiling by however they are manufactured..

I bought a ceiling hook when I bought my heavy bag. Check the website to see if they sell a "heavy bag set" that includes what you need to set it up.

get a wooden beam t-swivel


and then a quality spring like this


then you will have years without problems, set up a bag without springs and if you can hit hard enough to **** something up you will have problems with the bag. this method I've had no probs for 2 years, and i was having all kinds of problems doing it other ways...this way works best imo.

depends on your ceiling I would have thought. you got a heavy exposed beam or something to attach it to?
