    is this a good idea?

    before my fight on sunday I plan on eating spaghetti for lunch and drink water throughout the day. then 10 minutes before the fight take some redbull and a mars bar and go into the fight.

    is there any tips on how to stay in top condition before a fight?

    i havent been in a smoker or amateur fight but i dont think eating anything 10 minutes before a fight is a good idea for anyone. if you know how your body works and feels when you drink eat before you workout and such then do what you do. i would probably eat some good carbs an hour to an hour in a half before the fight and since my body is so accustomed to drinking redbull it wouldnt bother me at all. i would probably avoid greasy fatty foods until after. good luck.

          Sometime when I train Saturday mornings and don't really eat before I go to the Gym, I'll drink an Ensure and eat a snickers bar or trail mix, nut even then not alot becuase I hate having anything in my stomatch before I work out or fight.

            Yeah, I don't tend to eat before hand either... no point it just burns you out, save it for after is what I say!

              Now I don't drink the stuff so I'm not sure, but isn't redbull carbonated? Not a good idea to be drinking **** like that before a fight. Besides, is 10 minutes even enough time for the "rush" to take effect?

              For me, my usual prefight meal right after the weigh ins is a 12 grain bagel with peanutbutter on it and a banana. Drink plenty of water which is necessary but sucks when you have to piss every 5 minutes (especially when you have your foul protector on!). I'll also have a power bar or something like that in my bag incase I need something a little extra.

                yeah majority of the time if i do my complex workout i need to eat before i go workout. there have been 3 times where i said **** it im gonna just go workout and i pushed through the pain to finish my workout and i was so drained that i felt sick for over an hour after from being completely drained and not having any food in my system even after i took a post workout protein drink. people react differently to food and training and such so do what works for you.

                  It takes about an hour for the sugars from a mars bar to be fully into the blood ******. Eat the mars bar sooner...

                    not too much redbull it tends to dehydrate you, and i try to avoid the mars bars because its like meat and takes longer to digest and the last thing you want to do is fight with cramps or stitches but an hour or 2 before you should be right
                    if your that keen for energy try xlr8 tablets
