Getting new gloves, but had a hand injury and have a question

I am willing to spend 300+ on a pair of quality 16oz training gloves. My issue is with my right hand, my right little finger has a tendon injury which almost always puts it in a crimped position, however I can make a fist I just need a glove that has that band inside of it that's reliable. The best glove I can think of that is common with this attribute is the basic Everlast glove that's the most expensive, which is the pair I currently own.

I have a pair of the TE: 14oz Everlasts that run about 30.00 at Academy...that's Everlast's best common glove that I tried on, that fit my right hand the best. The thing is, I got these gloves about two months ago and the right glove is already becoming deformed because of the way my hand fits it, this particular glove has two 'bands' that form inside the fist, the first band is what all fingers are supposed to go over, however my right little finger fits on top of the second band, while all my other fingers on my right hand grip the top..if that can give you an idea of how the glove would fit my hand...I know this is a long, drawn out post but I just need suggestions and ideas, I can't exactly try on quality gloves where I live. I'm assuming a quality glove (100-300.00 range) would be the best option, if the old addage 'you get what you pay for' holds true, which it usually does

    Thanks for any input

everlast training gloves **** hands up!!!
they ****ed mine up. i havent tried the brand new protext ones, they look better... but still, id go with rival. best brand in canada, very comfortable, and last pretty long..

from us, ringside stuff seems solid. also since u are willing to spend that much, grant training gloves are liek 129 99 they look good. i wouldnt trust anything else tho to be honest. unless u can try it on first

Thanks for the input...I hear Cleto Reyes makes a good glove, but I want to try one on first. I wish there was a website that had every boxing glove cut in half so you could see the inside of it

I dont suggest cletos if you have hand problems. Maybe look at Ringside imf gloves i havent tried them but i heard there really comfortable. Of course if you can afford it, get winnings they will last forever and padding is really good. Question the everlast training gloves your talking about that hurt your hand, arent the pro lace ups are they caz i really wanna get the green ones for sparring.

Get winning gloves. That is what all the pros use so they prevent hand injury. Cletos you will definatly hurt your hands. For me it goes in this order by terms of hand protection and price.

            Winning 16 oz pro gloves
            Ringside IMF tech Gloves
            Grant Pro training gloves

Winning-usa.com is their website. Get the pro training gloves if you do.

the best gloves for you should be:
              winning gloves
everlast protex3 gloves (yes, they're VERY good)
              rival elite bag gloves

if you like everlast, then go for the protex3 glove. if you don't or have doubts, go for winning, you can't really go wrong with them

personally, i'm really pleased with my leather protex2 gloves from everlast. they're only 10oz, yet they're HUGE inside and are by far the most comfortable gloves i've owned. i naturally believe that the protex3 would be even better

there's a good deal going on on ebay with some winning gloves/headgear/cup combo. i didn't buy it because it doesn't fit me, but if you're small, then go for it if you plan to spar

good luck and hit me up with any other questions you have

Thanks for all the input everyone! Also, torres, hajime no ippo is the only anime worth watching imho. (it's where I stole this username from. ....Kid Dynamite was taken )

Anyways...my right hand doesn't hurt at all when I punch with it. It's just a matter of me forming a proper fist over the glove, and like I said the everlasts have the two bands inside the glove..my little finger on my right hand sits on the 2nd band, the one that's below where your fingers are supposed to sit, and all my other fingers sit on it. I've mastered the technique of the cross and adapted to my ****ed up hand. That's one of the reasons I was leaning towards Reyes, because it doesn't hurt my hands to punch at all.....it's just a matter of me grasping the inside of the glove, and the glove holding up to punishment. I'm thinking of going with the Winnings gloves...I'm torn between those and the Reyes, too bad in Louisiana there isn't a place to try each on. I'm afraid to buy the EL gloves because of how quick I ****ed up the cheap pair, but it doesn't suprise me. You get what you pay for, I'm assuming the more expensive everlast gloves will hold up well...

but I am 6 ft 4 and weigh about 230 lbs and hit extremely hard with both hands and the way my right fits inside a glove means everything to me.

sorry bro, but you're just too big for the rivals. i'm 5'9 and their biggest elite bag gloves (14oz) are just perfect for my hands. they won't fit yours, trust me

i'd go with winning then. expensive as hell, but the best at protection
